Physiotherapy Exercise Classes Melbourne

Our Physiotherapy Exercise Group sessions are individually tailored using a combination of strength training, clinical pilates principles, stretching and mobility exercises, core stability training and body awareness. This approach to rehabilitation provides an ideal combination of exercises under Physiotherapy supervision to assist our patients recover post injury or surgery. We work with you to help you achieve your exercise and health goals, however big or small!

All of our sessions are provided by Physiotherapists with post-graduate training and practical experience.

Patients must attend a minimum of two individual sessions with a Physiotherapist. This allows for a full assessment, time to discuss your goals and expectation, and develop a comprehensive individually tailored program to achieve your goals.

We provide supervised small group classes which are run Monday – Saturday.

Cost $35 per session or $315 for 10 pre-paid sessions that can be booked flexibly regarding time and date.

We aim to review all group session attendees individually every 2-4 months to refine your program.

Stretch & Activate

Low/Moderate level

Basic pilates based exercises, mat work and stretching. Keep your body moving and feel great.
Equipment: theraband, towel, Optional: roller

Get Moving

Chair & Standing

Simple and effective exercise program designed to improve flexibility, strength and functional conditioning. All exercises are standing or sitting on chair.
Equipment: Chair, folded towel, Optional: theraband, hand weights(or can/water bottles), fitball.

Strength & Condition

Pilates based, Moderate level

Keep yourself moving with a combination of exercises targeted at your core as well as incorporating upper and lower body muscles. A mix of floor and standing exercises to help keep those aches and pains at bay.
Equipment: Towel/yoga mat, pillow, chair, Optional: theraband fitball, spikey ball/tennis ball, roller, hand weights (cans or water bottles can be used)

Core & Glutes

Moderate/High level

For those up for a challenge and like to feel the burn. Core and glut focused exercises to maintain and improve your strength.
Equipment: towel/yoga mat, theraband, pillow, chair

Fitball

General conditioning exercises using your fitball for core and strength.
Equipment: Fitball, Optional: hand weights (can/water bottle), theraband

Balance & Body

Low/Moderate level

Moderate/ lower level class to maintain balance and neuromuscular control. Keep your body toned and prevent falls.

We endeavour to run all timetabled classes. Sometimes, due to unforeseen circumstances there can be a change of Physio in the gym. We are not always able to contact every patient if this occurs. Thank you for your understanding

Things to remember

  • It is the patient’s responsibility to ensure you are booked into your pilates classes; bookings do not automatically carry over week to week.
  • Please call to cancel if you are unable to attend. This allows us to contact patients on cancellation lists.
